Grieving for Loss is Difficult, But Necessary

Dealing with grief and loss is something everyone will have to deal with in their lives. In light of the recent attacks in Kenya, A-1 Home Care would like to remind you to stay close to your families and appreciate your loved ones. As this tragic news may stir up sensitive memories of war for some elders, it's important to keep in mind that these feelings are normal and part of the natural stages of grief. These are:

Denial
Bargaining
Depression
Anger
Acceptance

These steps may not come in order, but they are usually all present during mourning. It's important to understand that it's ok to feel angry or sad about your loved one passing. These are normal feelings. What is important is to remember the happy times with your loved ones and do your best to continue those wonderful moments with the people in your life now.

Seniors living in  Tustin, Santa Ana, Westminster, Costa Mesa, Buena Park, Anaheim, Anaheim Hills, Orange, Newport Beach, Newport Coast, Fountain Valley, Garden Grove, and others cities in Orange County can call to arrange live-in care.
